Location
Natal receives tourists from every corner of the world and has seen a 175% growth in international tourism over the last couple of years. With more than 25 golf courses under planning, Natal is on course to become a leading tourism destination in Latin America.
Aptly named the “City of Sun”, Natal enjoys 360 days sunshine a year and being only 5 degrees south from the equator, the seasonal variations are very small. Most of the year the day temperature is around 27-29ºC and the night temperature rarely falls below 24ºC.
A little over 80km north of the city of Natal, the local fishing village of Touros is fringed with white sandy beach. This charming coastal town has 20,000 permanent residents and Touros Village Beach Resort is just at the city limits, by the beach. In brief, it has the best of two worlds, peace and quiet, and the gorgeous beaches in front, at the same time as having Touros with all bars, restaurants and infrastructure at only 1,5km walking distance.
The Touros area is also famous for its snorkelling and scuba-diving, in part because of its breathtaking reefs, in part because of its all year round average water temperature of 26ºC. Two mega golf developments will be built approx. 5 – 10 minutes from the resort. Other daily activities include surfing, kayaking, trekking, deep sea fishing, swimming with the dolphins and boat trips.
The new international airport (scheduled to open in 2010) will be located only 45 minutes from Touros (the current airport is located 60 minuets from Touros).
The rental market is almost all year round and with the massive investments in resorts and golf courses on the coastline of Natal (two mega golf resorts within 5-10 minutes of the resort), the quality of the tourism offer will greatly improve, and as a consequence the rental market (along with increased rental prices) will grow rapidly.
