Purchase Details
US$10,000 refundable reservation fee is required to reserve a residence. 15% down payment at signing of contracts (in about 3-4 months time). 15% at beginning of construction or 6 months after signing which ever comes latest. Balance at completion.
Construction at Playas Macao will start autumn 2008 with completion in early 2010.
Financing of vacation home mortgages is being offered through Scotia Bank, Deutsche Bank and Banco BHD. They will loan up to 75% of the purchase price. You may apply to attain your prequalification at any time.
Payments are made into an Escrow account (Stewart Title Dominicana).

The Playas Macao Community benefits from the Dominican Republic’s Law for the Development of Tourism No. 158, dated October 9, 2001, as modified. Under this law, first buyers of real estate, such as yourselves, are exempt from payment of transfer taxes when closing the purchase of your residence. You also will not pay the annual 1% property tax on the value of your property for a period of up to 10 years.
Your property cannot be sold until at least 50% of the properties in each respective Phase I and Phase II have been sold. Once the sale requirements of each phase have been met, you are free to sell your property. The developers of Playas Macao will have the right of first refusal to buy and the right to marker the property for you, if they do not purchase it.
