The facilities will be second-to-none, and the choices are endless.
The Grand Canal will serve as the main travel source throughout the resort. Much like Italy’s Venice, water taxis and gondolas will whisk guests to the restaurants, shops and their accommodations.Canals will wind throughout the entire property past the major buildings, gardens, fountains, pools and homes. Construction on the canal system began in 2006 and will take approximately two years and US$100 million to complete.
There will be two signature 18-hole golf courses; one will be an Arnold Palmer golf course and the other will be a Jack Nicklaus course. They will be the best on the islands and among the finest in the world. In addition, there will be driving ranges, state-of-the-art training facilities and dedicated professionals to offer hands-on instruction.
The budget to create these two courses is US$75 million. When you consider that the average cost to develop a high-end golf course is approximately US$10 million, you can imagine the quality that will go into these signature courses.
Ginn sur Mer will have two multi-acre outdoor water parks. They will include “super pools,” slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, and rides, something for everyone young and old.
